Paperoak ð 17

Paperoak ð 17
Produced from oak and expired brochures, this beautifully tactile Paperoak ð object combines hundreds of pages, layered and compressed. Lathe turned using traditional wood working techniques, a beautiful wood grain can be seen from both the oak and paper, produced from the text.
Branded with my unique Eth ð logo, this bespoke object is a special gift for yourself or a loved one and the perfect addition to any home.
dimensions: 6cm diameter x 16cm height
The shape of the character Eth (ð) is reminiscent of the pieces in this collection. An Old English letter of unknown origins, perhaps from the flourish of an Irish monks scribe, used in Faroese and Icelandic, it symbolises the centuries of words layered in this work.
Please note as with wood, the paper may move slightly in different room temperatures. This is normal and part of the materials natural movement.
Layered paper with a biodegradable glue and finished with a protective Eco varnish coating this object can be wiped with a damp cloth to clean. Do not display in direct sunlight.
